Prince Caspian
Significance
This book has a lot of connections to the second book in the series L,W,W because of Aslan(the lion) Peter,Susan,Lucy and Edmond This book will proubbebley help the story line for the next book. I chose this book because it was the next book in the series and also because the movie is coming out in a few months.
Perspective
The creator C.S. Lewis created an amazing series of books. Each story gets better. I bet most of you have only read the second book but you dont know what you are missing.
Evidence
This book might have an argument since it has to do with war. Who do you thing is right the telimeranians or the old narnia. It is much like today people forced to hide or be killed much like Iraq were thay are fighting back much like in this book.
Connections
As I said this has some connections to the real world even though it was made in 1951. Thing is that C.s.Lewis studied mythology for many years.
Supposition
Based on this infromation I think that the two sons of adam and two dauthers of eve are going to be in the next book THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TRADER.

The rules of the game

Kerim Hurd-Korkmaz
1/4/08
The Joy Luck Club
The Rules Of the game

Significance
This chapter is crucial to the story because you know about Waverly jong’s mother how she escaped her wedding and all the pressure she got when she was a kid. Now her daughter is getting the same pressure her mom had because she is a master of chess.

Perspective
Amy Tan was born in America and had parents who immigrated from china; she failed to meet her mother’s expectations by becoming a pianist and a doctor. So this book is a lot like her life story such as Ying-Yang St.clair being a tom boy and not a proper lady.

Evidence
In china all the things like burning the five evil’s, Getting set for marriage when you are three all these things are in old Chinese culture.

Connections
Having extremely high expectations I have seen a lot like at swim team I here mothers well at her children to go faster or well at them for doing something with there stroke acting like there coach.

Supposition
The only thing I would change is to put about the author on the back because I had to search the inter net just to find out who she is. Did you know Any Tan has Lyme disease?

The Hourse and his boy

Significance
This Book is not as inportant as the previous two books but is a very interesting story. If you are thinking that it is a boring book then you are right but half way through the book you cant stop reading because it gets so much more interesting.

Perspective

This book is not a crutcal part to the series but has some interesting twists like alsan saving the life of the main character when he was a baby.

Evidence

This book has kind of anrgument and a war starts Between Narnia and Arcaneland vs. Carmalone.

Connections

Alot of the culture in the begining is much like that of the middle east because of how they discribed the places and the people, And they only give an education to people of royalty , you will have to read the book to find out. The narnian culture is much like ours , They eat eggs and bacon, They start wars.

supposition

Based on this book I can guess the the charicter is going to show up in the next book prince chaspian

The Magician's Nephew
by C.S Lewis
Significance
I chose this book because I always wanted to read the Chronicles of Narnia but never felt like it
something that I though was cool were the connections to The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe. This year was the best year to start this series since they are all about 200 pages long and very interesting. This book is probably he only book I really got in to so far.
Perspective
C.S. Lewis is the author of an amazing story writer so far I have finished one and on page fifty on the second. These books are something amazing, Magic, Evil Witch, Apples that can make you immortal, Flying horses, Lion, Kids, Baby lamp post. you may think some of the things I mentioned are form LWW but there in the first to.
Evidence
I think the augment that the author is getting at is no one knows whats out there there could be other worlds. Also that immortality is something we all want but always comes to a big cost most people would kill others to get what they want.
Connection
This story connects to the next one to my surprise. I thought there would be no connections but I was wrong very wrong. you know the immortal apples I was talking about well the boy got the apple and gave it to his dying mother so they could naturally sleep without medication. he took the core and planted it in his back yard and put six magic ring's, that sent then to Narnia, around the apple core. Then the tree grew up and had the most Delicious apples ever and when they moved they had to cut the tree down so instead of getting rid of it he turned it into A wardrobe that they sold.
Supposition
I would have changed the story by making them go to Narnia more then three chapters because it is so cool there like anything you plant starts to grow like a piece of a lamp post would turn into a baby lamp post. It would make it more interesting.

The Lion, Witch and the wardrobe

Significance

This book is important because this book has so many connections with the books before and after. Tgis book als is very detailed so you knew what was going on every seconed.

Perspective

This book was much more interesting once you find out how the wardrobe was made what the lampost represents. If I told a 3rd grader about this book I would say this book is about four kids discovering a magical world.

Evidence
I really dont think the auther is making an argument but is just telling a story. This story is compleatly made up.

Connection

I don't think this has any connection to the real world.

Supposition
I would change some of the detail because there was three chapters of really one event. I would make is so there were more creatures like the cenutur and the faun.

Tales of the greek Hereos - Roger Lanceyn Green

Book Review1
Significance
Tales of Greek heroes Is not a good book! For me It was very hard to follow because I could not understand their names. Plus all the family links made my head spin. I do not recommend if you are not a fan of Greek mythology

Perspective
I don't know much about the author but I bet he was really into Greek myths as a kid of even now

Evidence
Non of the text of facts are true they are just myths.

Connections
This book is connected to the real world because people really believe this like every thing in the myths are true but no one knows it could be true.

Supposition
I think if this wasn't real I still might still read it but if the book never existed I might have not spent so much time reading it!

Tales of the Greek Heroes

Significance
This work is important to show that we read the book. I chose this book last year actually but never read it I chose it because I was really into Greek mythology until we learned Greek mythology in class. You should use this book if you have to do a Greek myth project.
This book is not a good book for free time.

Perspective

My perspective on this book is the author Roger Lanceyn Green is really into Greek mythology.
I could not explain this book with out there heads exploding or they forget every thing. This book is so complicated I understand almost everything but other kids might not under stand it at all.

Evidence

I don't belive Greek myths but I thing they are cool. I don't thing anything in this book is true. He doesn't say he is telling the truth. You could not have an argument because no one knows if the myths are true of not.

Connection

This book has no connections with the real world but other myths not in this book sometimes have a myth for everything. Why is the sky blue? Why are we always so sad? things like that.

Supposition

This was not a good book to chose. The only thing I got out of this book is a cycle it was like the same story every time
